The Slap Heard Around the World

WWE is one of the most-loved entertainment brands in the world. Our insight revealed football fans were likely to convert into WWE fans, so knowing Wayne Rooney's son was a follower, we collaborated with him to join the show. On 9 November 2015, Rooney floored WWE superstar Wade Barrett with a single slap that reverberated around the world – generating over 400 pieces of coverage and thousands of social mentions in the proces.
